What Is Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan Doing To Revive The Warri Sea Port? by naijaspeak(m): 8:09am On Apr 24, 2013
In most industrialised nation of the world sea port are an integral part of a nation development as it is a money spinner and equally a job creating machinery. Countries like singapore,( Rotterdam)Netherland,China,Uk,Antwerp ( Belgium) are making huge returns from their sea port.

In Nigeria, the story is different. The only port that is working to a large extent is the Lagos port, Onne port in rivers state and the calabar port.

The Warri port is not fully functional as it has not been able to create jobs. Export of product is not been carried through the port at least on a commercial scale. What is Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan administration doing to revive the dead Warri port?

The twin city of Warri and Effurun including the surrounding environ towns is not feeling the impact of the presence of a port as no major inport or export is going on in the port.

Warri and Effurun is filled with unemployed men who have no company to work but to console themselves with the job of driving taxi and tricycle on the street of warri as there are no manufacturing companies in Warri.

For those who care just take a visit to Warri/Effurun and specifically the port and see for yourself the sad picture of years of neglect,abandonment,mala-administration etc

In Nigeria, We have a long way to go politically, socially and developmentally. For a state like Delta that is receiving trillions of naira/dollars from the federation account and having nothing to show for money received it paints a sad picture of the high rate of corruption in the country.
