How time flies. I remember when the network charges were in minutes in this country. Even if ur call lasted for a second, u av 2 b bharged 4 a minute. Then we only bought recharge cards of #500.00 or #1000.00 courtesy of mtn and econet(now airtel). Kudos to glo that introduced #50.00,#100.00, and #200.00 worth recharge cards.
Our former presido Obj, i remember once said that if u can buy a bottle of beer for #50.00, it wont b bad if the same amount is used for a minute call.
There were times that operators of phone boots were involved in serious fracas with customers because of poor network that resulted in call interuption. Someone once jokingly said that u dont speak Yoruba on phones because u might just exhaust ur airtime on greetings alone. But today not only is the charges are in seconds but as low as #6.00 per minutes. Nairalanders, what were ur experiences then compared to what is obtainable today?
