I was having until I visited ENT (ear, nose and throat) doctor who put me on medication. That was how it ended. I've also learnt to visit dental clinic for mouth wash at worst once in a year.

Listerine and co only do a temporary work and is more appropriately for the usual odour that comes from inactivity or so. If what you have is an infection(with stronger and chronic odour) , the best bet is to visit an expert who is more knowledgeable at determining what the matter is and solution.

A proper oral hygiene eliminates many cases of bad breath. Daily brushing and flossing removes the plaque and bacteria that often cause bad breath. Brushing and also take special care to thoroughly brush the back of the tongue
where bacteria normally collects. Chewing gum, Mints and mouthwashes can only hide bad breath, but do not eliminate this condition. Avoid foods that have powerful odours (e.g onions) and drink lots of water to insure that the mouth is cleansed and full of oxygen (an environment in which bacteria do not thrive).
