THIS MESSAGE IS IN REPLY TO THE EMAIL I GOT FROM TAMUNOSA JUMBO , I WANT TO KEEP ALL COMMUNICATION ON THIS THREAD BECAUSE IT IS FOR EVERYBODY TO SHARE AND ALSO MOST OF THE EMAIL I GET FROM PEOPLE IS ALL GOING TO JUNK MAIL.

It is just a thread for people to get together and have contacts to invest in movies genuinely, i am interested in investing genuinely but at the same time there are so many people out there that are fake and will just tell you lies, over time with more people putting there input on this thread we will be more educated on how to go about it the best way to invest and more .

The Entertainment industry as it where is not only limited to the movies, it also involves the music industry, comedy shows and so many others, all the upcoming people in this line of work will need people to invest in them, they must have a place where they go to and all this places they go to will not have all the money they need to help them, they will need funds, so if some of us have an idea of what who where this places are we will be able to verify there ingenuity and it will only take someone to try it and testify to other people that it is for real.

What I do know, is of the film/movie industry. The market is divided into two now. The Alaba/Idumota DVD market and the New Nollywood Cinema market.
The Alaba/Idumota market is that which produces and sells home videos as we know it. Producers who deal with these usually don't make much profit and usually don't make quality movies. The major challedge faced here is piracy.

The New Nollywood Cinema market is targeted @ cinema audience both home and abroad. They make more money but they also have to make better movies. So its either u know what u r doing or u don't. The major challenge faced here is insufficient distribution I.e cinemas. More and more cinemas are needed. That would enable them have more platforms to sell hence more money. But progress is being made in that area as I know for a fact that investment plans are being made towards bringing cinemas to every community. Another challenge producers have is funding to make these movies. The era of mediocre actors and movies is fast winding up as far as the international audience is concerned. A lot of people do not know or understand that there is a business side to film making and so getting funding isn't easy.

wow idprincess you are very correct. There is no better way to kill piracy than to start investing in cinemas. But the cinema business is still at the grassroots in Nigeria.
