Nokia debuts Asha, a small smartphone with touch-screen effect. The goal is to push their latest creation into the market and disturb their competitors. Perhaps it’ll develop into a terrifying bargaining chip against Microsoft Phones.


Why should I get Asha 501? I’m not a Nokia sales representative. Apparently, the new phone is part of Nokia’s low-priced line of handsets designed to attract users that are not tech savvy. There are still average citizens out there who only care about making phone calls and texts. Of course, this means Asha has very few features that sell at a very low price point. Nokia chose to announce the handset in India – one of the largest emerging markets in the world. The phone’s name is also India-influenced.
