Has your mobile phone gone off while talking on it? by solo2(m): 4:10pm On Apr 29, 2005
It happened to me while I was talking to my friend on my mobile phone. It went off and I could not reboot it until I took it to someone for repair. I nearly sent the phone to the dustbin becuase I was disturbed and could not be myself that day. If it were to be the battery I would not have being worried.

This is a typical Mobile Nigeria 'fun question'. It may have happened to me before, but only due to the phone battery running out of power.

yeah the battery power obviously ran out. but this can be very dangerous and cause damages to phones. gsm heads abi dey lie? anyway my own experience of my phone going of was while typing a text. it happens once in a while on my nokia 1100. probably when i've been fiddling with my keypad for long prior to typing the text.

It has happened to me not once not twice. And believe me it wasn't due to low battery power...though it came on but once in a long while it just goes off while I'm on the phone...It really pisses me off and I've made up my mind to change my phone. angry

Apart from battery power, is there anything else that can cause a mobile phone to go off during a call?

This can be due to power failure in the PA, cus the stress vested on it during an outgoing call could cause that if not a software problem,
