Why you guys are arguing over this issue is beyond me, this is a 2008! The new shape began in 2009 and not 2008. . .please do your research properly before arguing!

I am not the type that argue endlessly in the face of superior argument backed with facts. If I see the facts I'll concede to you with an apology to butt.
I have been driving the 2007 model, made in Canada, for about 2years now. I know that the ones directly imported from Japan differs slightly in shape from those made in North America. In Nigeria, the model that corresponds to the one advertised is the bank type which production stopped in 2007. Thereafter, the 2008 series onward started. That is why there has never been a 2008 corolla bank type, using current parlance, advertised. I will admit this much that I cannot confidently tell you whether that series extended till 2008 in N. America.

Yes, it was released later in North America as the 2009 model. You are right about that. In Japan, it's known as the 2008 model sha.
