Nairaland is no doubt the biggest forum in its niche (worldwide). And it has invested a lot of money, creativity and human efforts to get there.

All the same, I have used forums, forums with as much or more members. It's only Nairaland I know that tells you to wait for another week to make a new post.

Imagine google telling you to wait for an entire day to do another search, just because it doesn't like your search history or trying to avoid congestion.

The main reason lots of people abandoned yahoo for google was ease of use. To spend more time creating value than trying to overcome unintuitive restrictions.

We, nairalanders, are the ones who create all the content on nairaland that makes it rank amongst top sites in Nigeria, that provides the search traffic from google, and that ultimately makes the owner money$$.

I think it's fair if the admin and moderators spend more creative moments on making the site more user friendly and not churning out rules upon rules that only aim at making them look big and the users small.

We are all sensible people, some of the best minds and rational people not only in Nigeria but in the world.
