Hello guys, I know there are very great and experienced web masters here. I need advice as I am about to start a blog/website. I have had this idea in my head for the past three years and its eating me inside. Yea, I like money and m an entrepreneur. What platform can I use? Is google adsense still working?
I have wordpress in mind though, bt I want to find out if it allows for users registration and can I get sumtin close to facebook, using wordpress or any other design platform? Thanks a million guys.

Thanks pure guide... Checked out all the sites u listed. They have pretty much the same css layout. I just want to know if I can get something close to facebook using wordpress. I am a designer myself, don't want to venture into a project I can't finish.

I think you really need to specify what you want. Facebook is a social network. Wordpress is for blogs.

A blog site that can allow users registration and updates. But nothing close to facebook in terms of functionality.
