CALL FOR SUBMISSION FOR THE EFFIGY OF CHRIST: AN ANTHOLOGY OF CHRISTIAN POEMS, SHORT STORIES AND PLAYLETS TO MARK EASTER CELEBRATION:

Association of Nigerian Christian Authors and Publishers is calling for submissions from Christian Writers residing in Nigeria for “The Effigy of Christ” – A compilation of Christian literary works (poems, playlets and short stories) to mark the death, resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ.
Intending entrants are to submit poems of 30 to 50 lines, short stories and playlets on:

• The Birth of Christ
• The Death of Christ
• The Resurrection of Christ
• Ministry of Christ
• Restitution of Christ
• Crucification of Christ
• Suffering of Christ

AIMS OF THE PROJECT

• To produce an anthology (only in e-book format)
• To discover new Christian writers
• To highlight the roles of death, suffering, ministerial and earthly life of Christ
• To celebrate and honour Christ who we belief

SUBMISSION RULES

• Language Medium – English, Yoruba, Hausa and Igbo
• Poems – 30 to 50 lines
• Short Story –min 2000 to max 2,500 words.
• Play – One Act Play
• Entrants should include the followings alongside their works, age, location, telephone number. A sentence of not more than 500 words describing the work, short profile, where you heard about the call for entries.
• Permission to publish your work among the shortlisted entries.
• All entries must be submitted by June 31st, 2013.
• Any signs of plagiarism will disqualify the contestant.

BENEFITS
• Award of Certificates of Participation to all entrants.
• Award of Certificates of Excellence to only the shortlisted entrants
• Publication of the shortlisted collections in electronic book format which will be found on the Association’s website and blog, Obooko website, Amazon website and Takada online.
