Nani4all: Ok.... Op Next pleaseHello, you called me. The 'next' is that: Those favoured should apply for their choice of institutions with their marks. But believe me this decision by the minister for education is a reason to deduce that education in Nigeria has lost its values. Upon all the proofs from dibu that the candidates failed to reach 200marks was due to examination malpractise, now, the minister for education is letting us know that Nigeria's educational level is at 'let my people go' standard. The question now is; how will this decision affect candidates? , because- some candidates has gone ahead to buy the change of course and institution form. This decision, to me, is like another way to make money for the institutions that complies to it. Thanks |

Sundahjoe: Goodnews anyway. Hope schools like UI, Lag and OAU comply to this. Theirs is 200 and above and you know it.Unless they are forced to pick your PUTME cash! Unilag wants only one sitting at O'level even. |

dat jamb cut 180 or even 120 for university no mean anytin! If u no reach 200 n jamb, u wnt get admision in nice and compitative cours! So if u score blow 200, u can only gain admision in smal and none compitative cours! Or in state university. No mind dis cut of mark of a tin. Bcs there is no way u can get phamacy,medicin,engineer,law etc witout scorin above 200 in jamb |

It is so disheartening to see here that some persons are not politically and psychologically aware of the fact that the mass failure was deliberate and its targeted ar reducing the numbers of Non-admitted candidates as against the previous records. The Nigeria university commission (NUC) and JAMB have both failed, for example, the failure of JAMB gave birth to the unconstitutional post UTME. Anyway, Nigeria as a whole is a failing system and the educational sector can't just be an exception in isolation, may God give us leaders instead of recircled group of politicians that are only concern with next tenure or next political ambition. 4 Likes |

deloon: My first JAMB score was 249. And I couldn't gain admission with that. 10 years later peeps who get the same score are jubilating. Wtf! So was mine. 247. Cut off was 249. Saw hell to get into uni thank God for his ways 3rd batch tins. Now am smiling. When I see scores these days it baffles me beyond wonder and most of them aren't even remorseful. Am begining to believe that the rot in the educational system is planned but Y I can't tell. |

The Cut Off Mark is not well decided by JAMB, The University cut off mark is ok at 180, but the Polytechnic and others shouldn't be brought so low to 150, if we should judge it by 100% i will say the University 180 score is good at 45/100 which still places the candidate at a D2 level if it was supposed to be an exam in the school, but that of Poly to be at 150 means it's 37.5/100 instead of its supposed value of 40/100 to reach an acceptable level of (Let my people go) which is also D2 as the case may be. This people are still relegating Polytechincs even when ASUP is on strike for such a reason... Well What ever they like let them do. |
