This is so sad. This reminds me of a certain day. I was with my younger brother and sister. All of a sudden my younger brother did a karate move on my younger sister's head. I thought he did it unintentionally until he kicked her again. I had to ask him what he was doing, his reply" I am practising what I learnt from Cartoon on her" My reaction? I gave him two slaps across the face and told him I was also practising what I learnt from a film. I asked him if he enjoyed the slaps; he said no and I advised him never to try out any thing he watches on tv after which I apologised for hitting him. He took the cue and apologised to our sister. Most media products nowadays especially the ones for kids are filled with violence. It is advisable for an adult to supervise them as they watch and explain to them that such isn't obtainable in real life. But in this modern age where the mother and father have to work and the children are left in the care of an unqualified nanny tragedies like these are abound. 4 Likes |
