Tooth plate of pulverizer machine in working process is subjected to bear a great deal of impact and extrusion pressures, therefore wears seriously. In order to extend its service life, we can study from two aspects: first, adopt highly wear-resistance materials; second,reasonably design tooth shape and physical dimension. Tooth plate of pulverizer machine is also known as lining board; it directly contacts with mineral ore; its structure is simple, but has an impact on productivity, energy consumption, product particle size, particle shape and crushing force, especially more significant on later three ones. Here, we make a detailed introduction to the structure of tooth. Increasing the effective volume of ball grinder can increase mill productivity; for example, the selection of magnetic liner could increase effective volume of the cylinder and relatively reduce weight and power consumption.

Pulverizer machine teeth plates currently used are usually made of ZGMn13; its characteristics are as follows: under the action of load impact, surface of tooth plate hardens, forming hard and wear-resistant surface, while still maintaining original metal toughness; so it is one of the wear-resistant materials most widely used in the crusher. Structural shapes of plate cross section include smooth surface and tooth surface, in which, tooth surfaces include triangular shape and trapezoidal shape. The ball mill processing capacity is improved with the increasing of steel ball filling rate. Improving filling rate could increase the grinding rate of steel balls and the autogenous grinding capacity of ores.

Tests showed that compared with the tooth liner under the same conditions, productivity of pulverizer machine with smooth surface improves by 40%, service life improves by 5%; but its crushing force increases by 15%, and unable to control the crushing product size, increasing power consumption. Therefore, it is inappropriate to use smooth plate when breaking layer materials; when breaking very hard material with high corrosion, in order to extend the life of lining, smooth liner is also OK, but in order to guarantee product size and shape, we usually adopt triangular or trapezoidal plate for pulverizer machine.
