Our Saviour Institute Of Science Agriculture and Technology and OSISATECH College Of Education Enugu on Saturday 15th June 2013 Matriculated about 1,800 Students for the 2012/2013 Academic Session during her 22nd Matriculation Ceremony held at the Campus 2 Auditorium.
The Ceremony which began with a procession of all the matriculants in their beautiful regalians, the Academic Board Members,Directors of Schools, the Registrar, the Rector and the Very Rev.Fr. Prof. E.M.P. Edeh C.S.SP with other Revered Fathers Commits the Occassion in God's Hand with Holy Mass Celebration.
However,during the Holy Mass Homily, Rev. Fr. Paul Obimano who sited out various philosophy of Rev. Fr. Edeh, his desires to help and improve human development especially the youths of his Mother's Country Nigeria.
National and Osisatech anthem was recited immediately after the Holy Mass to formally declare the Occassion open by the Rector of the Polytechnic -- Dr. Mike Okwudili. He congratulated the Students for their best selection process for admission into the Institute, which he said, is the best and the first private Polytechnic in West Africa veiwing this out that "It is due to our well-established culture of Academic and Moral excellence since the establishment of the institute in 1989".
Dr. Mike Okwudili stated that "The Matriculation Ceremony marks your formal admission into this institution as a real menber of this Community of Scholars, who are organised in their search for more and higher knowledge that would serve the greater interest of the Society.
Thus, Rev. Fr. P.M.E Edeh, the Fr. Founder of OSISATECH Polytechnic and College of Education, in his speech advised the Students that they were expected to obey the rules and regulations of the School which he tagged "Modus Operandi" which stimulated laugher from the Assembly, He also urged the students to display a higher degree of personal discipline as a precondition to success in their studies and future career.
The Rev. Fr. Founder also urged the Parents and Gurdians for their collective support in the Academic,Physical,Psychological and Moral up-bringing of the Children and awakening the spirit of responsiblity in them.
Furthermore,The Registrar of the Institute, Chief Ibekwe N.N led the matriculating students out for the declaration of Loyalty that is the Oaths of Allegiance, which spell out certain believes and rules of intellectual engagement that must controls the attitudes of the Students within the Campus at all times. After which the Rector pronounced "I now admit you to the membership of OSISATECH Polytechnic and enjoin you to live up to a higher standard expected of you" thereby declared the Ceremony closed with the National Anthem.
