Assalam alaykum warahmatullah wabarakatuhu. Tomorrow Monday 24th June,2013 will be 15th Sha'ban (NISFU SHA'BAN),1434 A.H..Please endeavour to observe fasting & engage yourself in supplications overnight (i.e Sunday/Monday)..May Allah accept our supplications and grant us good in this world & hereafter..Peace & blessings of Allah be on Prophet Muhammad(saw)...

wa aleykumu salaamu wa rahmatUllah. it is not a sunnah to pick up the 15th of shaban to have a lone day of fasting. if you have been observing fasting regularly on the 15th of the months, yes. but to pick that of shaban as if it is a fard or less sunnah, you will have to provide evidence. islamic tradition stands alone and far from cultural traditions being interwoven with islam. |
