To initiate this process, simply access Microsoft’s Windows preview website and download it. As reported few weeks ago, Windows 8.1 operating system will boost the return of the highly requested Start Menu, but this time, it isn’t the conventional Start Menu you are accustomed to. This is the minimum requirement for Windows 8 to function properly.



Processor: 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster with support for PAE, NX, and SSE2 (more info)
RAM: 1 gigabyte (GB) (32-bit) or 2 GB (64-bit)
Hard disk space: 16 GB (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
Graphics card: Microsoft DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM driver

Obviously, n5040 can run Windows 8 perfectly.

The new windows 8.1 upgrade is only available to window's 8 users.You can install windows 8 on your computer if you would like to get windows latest OS 8.1 upgrade.
