Please can someone tell me the local name of this leaf 'cochorus olitorus' cus someone wrote that it can be used to help a woman in a delayed labour. |

its ewedu leaves, used by yorubas for soup. I also heard that it is good for labour. |

6. Quick Delivery: When a pregnant woman is having a hard labour, get a bunch of draw leaf (Ewedu) and squeeze with the stem for once and let her take it; it will lubricate the system for easy delivery. It is also good for prevention from 6 months pregnancy. |

tjskii:Most use it in emergency situations when labour has already begun. Especially those iya agbebi. but it can be used from d 6th month of pregnancy to help labour. I think it also prevents carrying pregnancy over the due date. |
