While studying the lives of some very wealthy people, l have come to discover that they all have overt or covert political connections. All our 'great' bankers have state governments and federal parastatals as customers. Though Dangote is a very good businessman, 65% of his success is directly creditable to political connections. He was even unethical in some regards, ask Ibeto and the NSE/AP. |

Omerian Consult: Whenever Even our own Seun Osewa once admitted to having strong political connections in one of his posts.I don't have any political connections, and I can't even imagine how political connections could be responsible for the success of this forum. |

Drawing on the power of capitalism, he is today more powerful than the president. Carlos Slim Helu, the world's richest man in 2008 controlled 80% of Mexico's telecom sector. You know how he came to monopolise such an important sector. This seems to be true for all spheres of human endeavour- media, sport, IT, food etc. Do you believe that one could become a billionaire without some political engineering? |
