Gionee has launched the Elife E5, the company’s latest smartphone in the Elife series. It has a
4.8-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) Super AMOLED Plus display, powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.2.1 (Jelly Bean). It packs a 8-megapixels auto focus rear camera with BSI sensor, LED flash, 1080p HD video recording and a 5-megapixels front-facing camera with wide angle lens for better imaging.
The rear camera has Gesture recognition, face detection, Smile detection, skin tone enhancer and touch focus. The phone is just 6.85mm(wow) thin and comes with in-built Digital Theatre System (DTS) Sound, 3D Surround System for enhanced multimedia audio experience. The phone packs 1GB RAM, 16GB of internal memory without a memory card slot. It has single micro SIM slot.

Left to me, i dnt think dis phone is dt great 4 such a price, i'd rada go 4 gionee e3. Its only d gorilla glass and d 1.5ghz processor, bt still, d 1.2 of e3 no dey slow. Come to think of it, just 16gb rom without space 4 mem card, tufiapa, d e3 comes wit d same ram wit card slot. So i say d e5 is just overated. My opinion tho

I am asking because I bought the tecno F7 and it does not work in north america because it only works on GSM 900/1800 while north america is on GSM 850/2100. E5 is 40k, shuld be lesser as time goes on, after the launch of E6!!!
