Sahara is recruiting to fill the position of:

Job Title: Accounts Officer (Temp)

Operating Company: Sahara Group Limited
Location: Lagos State

Purpose Statements:
Account Officer will be responsible for routine accounting activities, documentations, proper filing and archiving of accounting documents.
Key Deliverables
Maintain the accounts payable and accounts receivable systems in order to ensure complete and accurate records of all monies
Assist with preparation of the budget
Establish and maintain cash controls
Establish, maintain and reconcile the general ledger
Prepare and reconcile bank statements
Establish and maintain supplier accounts
Process supplier invoices
Maintain the purchase order system
Issue cheques for all accounts due
Ensure transactions are properly recorded and entered into the computerized accounting system
Assist with preparation of income statements
Assist with Preparation of balance sheets
Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements
Prepare quarterly reports and reports on variances
Assist with the annual audit
Maintain financial files and records.
Additional Information

Knowledge/Skills:
Sound knowledge of double entry principle
Good knowledge of statutory deductions and their remittances.
Good analytical skills
Good organizational ability.
Minimum Qualification / Experience:
B.Sc in accounting or other relevant field
PE1 ICAN passed
1 to 2 years experience
