Hello Everyone,

Pls i need your advice on which of these 2 cars would be best to use in Nigeria. A 2010 Acura TL or A 2010 Honda accord crosstour.
All the guru's in the house should please advice as per maintainance culture, parts and others. Price is not important, i love this 2 machines but i really want to know get some info before taking action.

Both are Honda products.

The Crosstour is practically a hatchback Honda Accord. The TL is a more luxurious version of the Honda Accord.

Both offer all wheel drive options.

Both are powered by identical 3.5l V6 engines though the SH-AWD (super handing All wheel drive) option of the TL comes with a 3.7l V6.

If you can afford to buy any of these, you should be able to afford a very decent and professional service centre to handle your servicing. Parts can easily be sourced from US if necessary....which shouldn't be a problem if you are using a very decent service centre.

.............The Crosstour is more common than the TL...........

Though they are both plush Honda accords, comparing both cars is just wrong. The Tl'sway much more luxurious and given that price is no hindrance to you you can get the Tl 3.7L Shawd package. There.s no need repeating what Find Out's already stated

All the previous speakers had done justice to the model types, tranny and options. The key element you should consider is YOU. Are you a sport enthusiast or a conservative driver.

I took the liberty of assuming you are referring to Infinity EX35 2010 model. Common problems are;
1. Design problem of tight rear compartment with cramped leg space.

2. Design problem of limited cargo space

3. Common problems seen with the 2008 models are; a) problems with the powered steering motor. b) noisy fuel pumps

4. Common problems with the 2010 model are; a) clunks in the rear b) niggling problems with electronics

5. Gas guzzling. Company rated mixed consumption is 12.5 litres/100 kilometres for mixed driving. Most consumers got around 17.6 litres/100 kilometres. Compared to a Toyota Highlander 09 of 11.9 litres/100km tho the former clocks 297hp and later 270hp
