Please advice.
Am a married man with 2 boys, am 31. I Built my house in 2004 and upgraded it last year.
My wife is a very religious person, she goes to church most of the time, she belongs to severally christian organizations and church units.

My wife knows a lot of men of God and women of God, shes always angry with me anytime i don't follow her to church or a church programme.

Ive succumbed to her pressures one or two times and followed her to church, i must say that i enjoyed some of the services and have my reservations for others, she took me to a certain church were the man of God prophesied to me that the people that owe me will pay within a period, the time came and passed without even a call from my debtors.

i was mad at my wife cos ive made plans believing that what the Prophet told me will come to pass, since he said it was God that spoke to him concerning me.
This has made me to always have doubts when it comes to Men of God

One thing that these men of God and prophets keep saying is that i should move out of my house, they said that if i move out of my house it will not take long for me to start seeing d hand of God in my life.
Different prophets and pastors has told me this.
They said that if i want to see the abundant blessings of God i should move out of our present residence.

The pressure from my wife is becoming unbearable cos we are down financially at the moment and she feels that am the cause of our financial problem for refusing to listen to the voice of God through his servants and move to another location.



I like my house, the house is small(1bedroom flat) but i cherish it like a mansion, its one of d few places in this country where you will have steady power supply for up to a week.

Right now am seriously considering moving(i dont even have d cash to move now) but i don't want to make mistakes that i will regret later, i know my wife means well for d family but what if shes wrong.

If it's for temporary relocation it may not be a problem but whoever advises u to sell ur house is really a prophet of doom. Before God will ask u to move, be rest assured he'll get u an alternative. My 2 cents

Don't listen to them, they may be planing to take possession of your house. DO NOT MOVE OUT.

If the prophets had prophesied before and it didn't come to pass, what makes you feel this one will come to pass.

My friend, you are on slippery grounds. Reason: you have sold the direction of your life to men and not the Spirit of God. You need to know your God for yourself and learn to follow him. Abraham, Isaac and Jacob had moving issues; did you hear them resort to prophets? Call your wife to order. Both of you should get down on your knees and agree and pray and see what God will do in your lives.

The surest way to error and disaster is to allow other lead you. All you need to succeed in life is in you already. Take out time, wait on the Lord, read scriptures, reason deeply and trust God. Take whatever steps come to your mind at that point because it will be God leading you. He is faithful.

Pls beware of these charlatans that call themselves men of God.

I feel your pain, you have a difficult situation. If you dont move there will be tension in your marriage. If anything goes wrong then your wife will blame you for not moving. This is a recipe for disaster.

What should you do? I think you should ask God for a sign to move, do this prayer with your wife and be very specific. Give yourself a time frame of 1 week.

If for example you say "God, if we are really meant to move from this place then let a buyer come forward and ask to purchase our house after your 1 week of dedicated prayers concerning this issue."

This is what people have done in the bible when they have been uncertain about things. Genesis 24 (He didnt know which girl and left it up to God) and Judges 6 Gideon also seeks a sign from God to know what action he should take.

If you do this with your wife and nobody comes to buy your place within after the 7th day then you know you should stay.

She wont be able to get out of this because if she has prayed to God and actually does believe then she should be satisfied that its ok to stay.

If someone does come to buy your place then, you will know that you really should move.

The buyer thing was just an example, you can ask for a sign that is specific to you. But it must be specific and not vague and have a timeline for you to be able to know if you received a sign or not. It cant be open ended. Eg you could ask for your sign to be that you dream that you are moving etc.

When you pray ask using John 14:14 and you should get an answer. (I would suggest this prayer also include a fast on some of the days)

Personally I would never believe a prophesy, why not ask dem to pray and destroy every negative Force in your house?

I think the prophesy is a deduction from ur wifes complaints.

Learn to seek God s face on ur own and visit less pastors, they r ruining pples lives with prophesies.

If you read Judges 6:15-17 & 36-40

"15 “Pardon me, my lord,” Gideon replied, “but how can I save Israel? My clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my family.”

16 The Lord answered, “I will be with you, and you will strike down all the Midianites, leaving none alive.”

17 Gideon replied, “If now I have found favor in your eyes, give me a sign that it is really you talking to me."

Gideon wanted to be sure God was talking to him, not some other Spirit. So Gideon asked for a signand was given 1. This was not an insult to God, why then would this brother asking for a sign be an insult?

I also think it is possible that the wifes complaints are leading to these prophecies.

Conclusion: The reason I suggested that they pray for a sign is to give our brother room to escape this situation without causing conflict with his wife. It would also give our brother peace of mind. This might also help his wife be able to see that some prophecies are fake (If that is the case) or real and lead her to evaluate these things more critically in future. This will also give our brother some power in terms of religious matters in future or matters of prophecy in future. These ministers (Men in positions of respect and thought leadership) have too much power and influence over your wife, you need to regain some of those in a way that will gain your wifes respect.

I dont think its a good idea to just ignore your wife, because something bad might happen (Something that was going to happen anyway no matter where you live) and your wife will blame you.

@OP why not ask God himself, abi fear dey catch you.. obviously you have not bene reading your Bible and you wife has not too. it is not only prophets that can see visions.. you can as well. so ask God, perhaps he wants you to move out so he can give you a mansion with your present house as the gate-house. Please where is this house located, do you have the legal documents. I'll give you N150k for it

First thing to do is to run to God by giving your life totaly to God and believe He is d only One that is able to save you from this situation.
I mean firstly ,run to God do not run away from your house yet.

Secondly, ask why you need to leave or pack out of the house. Is the house built with blood money ,was charm buried in the foundation of the house, are other people experiencing the same in that area, does the land belonged to somebody else b4 u purchased it? Make enquiries b4 moving out.

Since u said ur wife is close to many men of God,u need to think twice b4 u take a step that u might regret. She might be the brain behind the prophecies.

As a man and being the head of the family or your home,you need God . You should be more spiritual than your wife. Do not allow your wife to carry ur responsibilities.

The price of a bag of garri/rice/beans last year is now higher than it was; school fees, light bills, fuel price all sky rocketing at the same time and do not seem to slow down any moment and these are basic amenities , yet basic income is going the other direction. Organizations are slashing salaries and laying off workers everyday thereby reducing the purchasing power of consumers and this affects those in business negatively as the expected consumers purchase less or no goods at all. I am not surprised you are financially down because like every one else you are only feeling the effect of the global financial meltdown.Abeg, don't let anyone deceive you that you are the cause.

My brother you seem to be a hardworking man, some men in Nigeria at age 31 can not even boast of a rented 1 bedroom flat not to talk of actually owning/building one at age 24/25. Now what exactly is your wife's contribution financially to the family? It seems she's not gainfully employed or into trading else she won't have time to be going from one church to the other and from one Pastor to another when she should be finding ways of assisting the husband financially.

2 Thessalonians 3:10 "He who does not work shall not eat". I.e If you don't find other streams of income for yourself and your wife in particular instead of spending the whole day in church or with one pastor the situation will remain the same my brother.

Finally, remember to take all to God in prayers!

She was able to make good use of the little money i gave her for trading, if not for her little business we would hv starved by now. sometimes, i feel i should've given her more money.
