The official box office report for Nigeria shows the pathetic state of Nigerian movie theaters.
The operators of local movie theaters still don't know how to run them and most of their movie theaters are in the wrong locations and they don't have a budget for publicity.

The leading cinema chain in Nigeria has both radio and TV stations, but concentrates more on promoting Nigerian hip hop music videos than movies and their competitors without radio and TV stations do little or no promos of their movies, except for the adverts inside their theaters. And most of them expect those who come to the shopping malls to shop to also come and watch movies before or after shopping.
Imagine a movie theater showing 3D movies without 3D glasses!
They seem confused to me.

The highest grossing film is "White House Down" with a total gross of $315,767 for five weeks.

White House Down is a 2013 American action film directed by Roland Emmerich about an assault on the White House by a paramilitary group and a cop recently rejected to get a job for the Secret Service who tries to stop them. The film's screenplay is by James Vanderbilt, and it stars Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx. The film was released on June 28, 2013.[/size]
