How To Benefit From The Presidential Entertainment Fund by Orikinla(m): 12:00pm On Aug 07, 2013
President Goodluck Jonathan announced a $200 million intervention fund for the entertainment industry at the 30th anniversary of the Silverbird Group, and both filmmakers, marketers and cinema operators have benefited from the fund and more are still accessing the fund, including members of Nairaland.

A prominent Nollywood producer and marketer has received N1.8 Billion from the fund.
A cinema operator received N400 million and an executive producer got money from the fund for the production of "Half of A Yellow Sun", the most expensive Nigerian movie so far. And another major stakeholder is being offered over N2 billion for his nationwide community cinema project that will create over 4, 000 jobs in the nest two years.

If you need help on how to access the fund and the N3bn entertainment grant fund of the Federal Government for the creative industries, visit
