With so much seemingly impenetrable ceiling of smog that hangs over significant areas of China, one would think facial sun damage is the last thing the people are worried about. Wrong!

People in China are taking skin-care to new extremes by wearing full-face dark visors that looks like the mutant spawn of a Darth Vader helmet and a welding mask to protect them from the sun.

While those wearing them can see out, those looking at them are forced to communicate with what looks like someone wearing a Darth Vader-like mask, without irony.

The trend is growing, and skin-conscious fans of the visors are not only using them outdoors. Women have reportedly started wearing them in department stores.
