Job Title: Farm Manager
Organisation: Sani Bello Foundation.


The FM’s role includes:
• Develop the Farm’s production schedule and co-ordinate the feeding regime to ensure production and growth efficiency, respectively for Catfish, Birds and Rabits;
• Maintain records of stock and provide updates on health and nutrition;
• Supervise day to day rearing of the farm animals, supervise and guide the Feeders and other production Technicians in the farm;
• Establish risk management/disaster control processes for all aspects of the Farm, review water management techniques, establish disease and mortality control procedures;
• Ensure that operations are complaint with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS);
• Adapt the Farm’s operations to new, more efficient technologies as they develop
• Handle the running of the foundation green house in growing Tomatoes.
• Train student on both theoretical and practical aspect of farming

Requirements
• Degree or HHD (Minimum, Qualification); in Fisheries, Fisheries Management, Aquaculture Science or any other related sciences from a recognized institution;
• Minimum of Three years experience in similar position;
• Experience in rearing other aquaculture species will be an added advantage;
• Commitment, dedication and ability to work long hours without complaint;
• Ability to mentor subordinates and to use various farm computer applications.
Conditions
The person must be willing to relocate to Kontagora, Niger State and must be willing to sleep at the farm.
