When i was in Sec. Sch., we memorized some quite difficult topics by either forming songs or using their first letters to form things we could remember. Our seniors and teachers also taught us some. Learning was so much fun. I just recently found out the English word for it is MNEMONICS. Here are the few i remember right now. 1. The characteristics of a living thing (MR NIGER). M- movement R- respiration N-nutrition I-irritability G-growth E-excretion R-reproduction 2. The first twenty elements. He (H)Has (He)Large (Li) Brain (Be) But (B)Could (C) Not (N) Offer (O) Full (F) Nine (Ne) Subjects (Sodium) Many (Mg) Art (Al) Students (Si) Passed (P) School (S) Certificate (Cl) At (Ar) Kano (K) College (Ca). 3. Electrochemical series. Popular (Potassium) Scientist (Sodium) Canadian (Ca) Made (Mg) A (Al) Zoo (Zn) In (Iron) Two (Tin) Low (Lead) Humid (H)Countries (Cu), Many (Mn) Shall (Silver) Go (Gold). 4. Classification of living things Kunle- Kingdom Poured-Phylum Chloric-Class Oil-Order From-Family Gene's-Genus Stove-Species 5. Spelling of confusing words. Eg E-Ede X-times E-Ede R-remi C-coni I-iya S-segun E-elere B-boollu O-odabo O-odabo K-Kayode 6. Definition of Avogadro's law. A yoruba-islamic song. *this was my favourite definition in school. Even when asked to define Boyle's law, i must just attach avogadro's  i still remember the definition word for word*So also the definition of Inflation in Economics.
