What is it that blocks otherwise intelligent people from looking objectively or critically at Christianity?

Is it like overlooking the defects of a loved one? Is it denial, like refusing to see the signs of drug abuse in a loved one? Is this how the myriad contradictions are reconciled within the believer’s mind?

While religions are fabrications, Christianity deserves special investigation because of its aggressive history, namely in the forced conversions and the murderous removal of opposing sects.

The "gospel" story of Jesus is not a factual portrayal of a historical "master" who walked the earth 2,000 years ago. Anyway,the christians will only tell you to get off their backs and leave them the hell alone.They'll rather die stupid and go to heaven,than die enlightened and go to hell.That is the way they think.They live in fear of hellfire.

Most religions that have a history of more than 100 years used forced conversions, or just general abuse to get their way message across.

- that he just posted a thread similar to this one,

- that a lot of people better/stronger/more intelligent than he was/is had/have/are failed/failing in discrediting Jesus and the Salvation story, so even though all he's(Filch) saying are all bluffs, at least he should try to put his thoughts together so he wont be outrightly stupid. especially on NL.

Solar Mythology shows the story of Jesus is just an allegory for the sun passing through the Zodiac and the passage of the seasons of the year. Jesus travels throughout his one year ministry, and the description of his travels exactly match that of the sun traveling through the Zodiac during the year. Here we have the origin of the Jesus story. This common origin explains why all the stories of crucified saviors are essentially the same.
