The Quest for the Historical Jesus Christ - Fact or Myth? by Reverend(m): 11:54am On May 31, 2006
What is it that blocks otherwise intelligent people from looking objectively or critically at Christianity?

Is it like overlooking the defects of a loved one? Is it denial, like refusing to see the signs of drug abuse in a loved one? Is this how the myriad contradictions are reconciled within the believer’s mind?

While religions are fabrications, Christianity deserves special investigation because of its aggressive history, namely in the forced conversions and the murderous removal of opposing sects.

"Scholars' efforts to eliminate paganism from the Gospels in order to find a historical Jesus have proved as hopeless as searching for a core in an onion." The "gospel" story of Jesus is not a factual portrayal of a historical "master" who walked the earth 2,000 years ago. It is a myth built upon other myths and godmen, who in turn were personifications of the ubiquitous sungod mythos.

We've been here before,rev.I already opened a similar thread a while back.
You don't seem to read other people's threads but yours.
Anyway,the christians will only tell you to get off their backs and leave them the hell alone.They'll rather die silly and go to heaven,than die enlightened and go to hell.That is the way they think.They live in fear of hellfire. smiley

Most religions that have a history of more than 100 years used forced conversions, or just general abuse to get their way message across.

too much of this Anti-Jesus thing, More intelligent, more agressive people, great greater greatest people before you have tried without no avail.

At the end of time, you'll find out you had wasted your time trying to defeat the truth.

@jagunlabi

im trying to remind Mr. Filch
- that he just posted a thread similar to this one,

- that a lot of people better/stronger/more intelligent than he was/is had/have/are failed/failing in discrediting Jesus and the Salvation story, so even though all he's(Filch) saying are all bluffs, at least he should try to put his thoughts together so he wont be outrightly silly. especially on NL. grin grin grin

Evidence that Jesus Never Existed

History. It's inconceivable that during the alleged time of Jesus no one bothered to write down anything about this most extraordinary person, yet we have nothing. Even the earliest Bible reference to Jesus dates to at least A.D. 64, and the first Gospel, the Gospel of Mark, dates to at least A.D. 70 (and probably to A.D. 170).
Comparative Religion shows that the story of Jesus already existed in numerous religions prior to the alleged time of Jesus. Khrishna, Horus, Orpheus, Bacchus, Osiris, Dionysus, Buddha, Apollo, Hercules, Adonis, Ormuzd, Mithras, Indra, Œdipus, Quetzalcoatle, etc. The motif of a Crucified Savior was already extant prior to the alleged time of Jesus.
Solar Mythology shows the story of Jesus is just an allegory for the sun passing through the Zodiac and the passage of the seasons of the year. Jesus travels throughout his one year ministry, and the description of his travels exactly match that of the sun traveling through the Zodiac during the year. Here we have the origin of the Jesus story. This common origin explains why all the stories of crucified saviors are essentially the same.
