Scun: seeded teams based on August Fifa rankings will be: Is this how it is done? seeding is done on past world cup performance. Nigeria, Cameroun, Ivory Coast, should be seeded. Then two from Algeria, Tunisia and Egypt. The country Super Eagles must avoid is Burkina Faso. They suddenly find a new form after the nations cup. From zero point before nations cup, they gathered all maximum points from 4 matches home and away to win their group with 12 points. I think Ethiopia should be okay for us. |

Pray that Nija will not face Egypt in the next and final round. Else Nigeria is doomed. |
Re: Nigeria Vs Malawi - FIFA WCQ: (2 - 0) On 7th September 2013 by sCun: 8:45pm On Sep 07, 2013 |
^^^I'll still take Cameroon though, Cape Verde thrashing Tunisia away is no mean feat, I also remember we met them in a Friendly match before AFCON, it wasn't easy. If Algeria drops from the top 5 ranked teams before the draw is made, I'l take them. Ethiopia is similar to Cape Verde, they're dangerous! |

Cameroon, Tunisia, Senegal could easily be replace by Libya, Cape verde, Uganda respectively by tomorrow. That will be good for the seeded teams like Nigeria. |
Re: Nigeria Vs Malawi - FIFA WCQ: (2 - 0) On 7th September 2013 by sCun: 9:06pm On Sep 07, 2013 |
SuyaEater: No the seeded teams will beTrue! We need to take our friendly on Tuesday against Burkina seriously o! Things can change by the next ranking, Cape Verde are just 4 points below us in the rankings and if they get this away victory against Tunisa it will seriously boost their ranking. 1 Like |

FIFA seriously destroyed Africa's qualifiers. Cape Verde were gifted free 6 points simply because EQ Guinea fielded an ineligible player, Tunisia who thought they had already qualified are now suffering for it. Libya who also thought they had already qualified now need an away victory against Cameroon after the hosts were gifted free 3 points by the same FIFA. I know Saintfiet will be doing serious research right now to find out if Nigeria fielded any suspended player. I am afraid o! |

I'd rather blame the EQG and Togolese FAs for their administrative blunders; the rules were set a long time ago. BTW, Cape Verde have 1 min to hang on. |
Re: Nigeria Vs Malawi - FIFA WCQ: (2 - 0) On 7th September 2013 by sCun: 9:31pm On Sep 07, 2013 |
CFCfan:They should find a way of preventing an ineligible player from entering the field in the first place. We need the best teams to qualify, that rule can be manipulated by teams, it might just be the new form of match fixing. Who knows? |
Re: Nigeria Vs Malawi - FIFA WCQ: (2 - 0) On 7th September 2013 by sCun: 9:36pm On Sep 07, 2013 |
^^^ Libya new nothing about what happened between Cameroon and Togo, now they are suffering for it, they've clearly been the best team in that group. Ghana almost got knocked out because Zambia were give free 3 points, no fault of Ghana's, Tunisia who thought they'd qualified are on the verge of being knocked out, courtesy of free 6 points given to Cape Verde. Would Cape Verde have beaten EQ Guinea home and away even if the didn't field ineligible players? |
Re: Nigeria Vs Malawi - FIFA WCQ: (2 - 0) On 7th September 2013 by sCun: 9:38pm On Sep 07, 2013 |
Imagine Kenya deliberately fielding an ineligible player home and away against Malawi and how the free 6 points FIFA would have given to Malawi would affect us. That rule should be scrapped! |

Maybe a FIFA official in charge of the team sheets should be alerting the FAs on such occurences. |
