We have based our calculations below based on average home power supply need.

DEPLOYING BINATONE 5.5Kva GASOLINE GENERATOR

1. Cost of Binatone 5.5Kva Gasoline Generator with 25L = N140,000
2. To fill 25 Litre Petrol : N96 x 25 Litres = N2,400
3. 25 L to last at Maximum 3 Day (Based on average Usage) – N2,400 X 3 times a week = N7,200/ Week.
4. In a month averagely : N7,200 X 4 times = N28,800
5. In a year N28,800 x 12 months = N345,600/ Year on just Petrol
6. Averagely in a year, there could be one break down with repair and servicing of average N15,000

Lets now sum the above to determine how much you would have spent on the conventional generator within the last 25 years :

Make a wise decision

The initial capital outlay is enormous for your solar panels. The 25 yrs cost analysis is not realistic for a good comparison between the generator and solar panel. I don't think any generator can last for 25 years (maybe some). You can do a 5 year comparison and let's see the net cost savings.
