A former self-described ‘Satanic drag queen’ is set to be honored later this month at an awards ceremony for turning his life over to Jesus Christ despite the hatred that he received after walking away from the homosexual lifestyle.
Trace McNutt, formerly known as “Coma,” states that he grew up in a dysfunctional home with an overbearing mother and a distant father. His adolescent years were also marked by much rejection from his classmates, even to the point of regular physical harassment.
“The abuse got so bad that at one point, I had to be escorted by the dean from the junior high school from class to class because I was getting beaten everyday,” he outlines in an online video.
McNutt says that when he left high school, he began to become entrenched in homosexuality.
“I became obsessed with the royalty of the gay community, and that would be drag queens,” he explains. “The fact that these men would go backstage and with just makeup and wigs transform themselves into a complete other creature fascinated me.”
McNutt states that he saw the outlet as a way to be accepted by the world.
“[W]hen I got into the gay world, I immediately realized that the rock status and the royalty of the gay world are the drag queens,” he says. “So, I said, ‘I’m going to do that, but I’m going to take it a step further.’”

“I decided that I was going to become … a satanic version of a drag queen,” McNutt outlines.
And so, taking on the moniker of “Coma,” McNutt gained much attention for his eccentric looks and lifestyle. However, it wasn’t long before he found his life spiraling downward due to a drug addiction.
“I hit my own personal rock bottom,” he explains. “I had no car, no job and three days to get out of my apartment. Within the snap of a finger, I was homeless on the streets of Tampa.”
McNutt soon also discovered that he tested positive for HIV.
However, he says that one day, a Christian acquaintance invited him to attend a seminar about homosexuality, and the light of truth began to break through.
“[The speaker] was talking crystal clear, and I realized he was describing my childhood,” McNutt recalls. “I had no natural, healthy bonding with men. There were circumstances that contributed to my homosexuality, [and] at this point, from now on, it was my choice.”
As McNutt began attending church services, he repented of his ways and believed the Gospel.
“I walked away from the gay community,” he says. “I packed up the make-up. I threw out the clothes. I canceled all my appointments. I was starting to be transformed visually and spiritually.”
However, when he stopped performing, McNutt states that he began feeling the hatred of the homosexual community. He says that he began being defamed, and received hate mail and death threats.
“One guy told me that he was going to put a bullet in my brain because I was a traitor to my people,” he told reporters.
However, on September 30th, McNutt will receive the first annual Courage Award for Former Homosexuals as a part of the 2013 Ex-Gay Awareness Dinner and Reception, hosted by Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays and Gays (PFOX).
“When gays come out of the closet they are welcomed, but former homosexuals are forced to remain hidden because of defamation by anti-ex-gay extremists and marginalization from American society,” stated Christopher Doyle, Co-Founder and President of Voice of the Voiceless (VoV), who will present the award to McNutt. “It takes a lot of courage for ex-gays such as Trace McNutt to tell their stories, especially considering that doing so brings scorn and punishment…”
“Trace’s experience is proof that when ex-gays leave homosexuality, they are attacked and faced with an unbelievable amount of hostility,” he continued. “In today’s anti-ex-gay climate, talking publicly about leaving homosexuality is truly an act of courage. Trace McNutt is a real hero.”
McNutt says that he no longer has the HIV virus, as doctors have been unable to find any sign of AIDS in his body since turning his life over to Jesus Christ.

Ok. you’ve finally just taken me back to the beginning of the whole mess ,back then in school that verse you quoted [Romans 1:21-22, 24, 26-28, 32] was the one verse I believe God directed me too, when I was confuse and looking for a way out as a child but I never really understood that verse fully at that time and what it was trying to say let me try and explain why.

1:-when I read that verse I felt God was condemning me for something that wasn’t my conscious choice(that’s exactly how I felt)

2:- Romans 1:21-22, 24, 26-28, 32 :- was not presenting a way out of it, it never did ,I remember I was in the class alone reading my bible(cause I thought by reading the bible and praying it would stop)when I came across that verse I knew God was saying something but exactly what he was saying I never got , I just kept hearing condemned , condemned, what your doing is bad(like I did not know).

Years and discipline has taught me that homosexuality and Christianity do not mix(this is one way I believe God has been merciful to me, he never allowed me to combine both, whenever I tried too I would break down or just get confused ,yet when I dump the act after awhile I still go back, it seemed could not do without both but yet could not combine both ,so what I did was either not be a Christian or hope that He would remember me some day)

Now let me break down that verse in accordance with my life.
ROMAN 1:21

(I was a child then ,I did the whole church thing cause I was from a firm Christian home and I was really good at it, but as a child how did I fall guilty to that verse to make GOD determine or punish me with such a thing ,I was just a child then.)

( Yes I’m guilty of this one at that time in particular as a child, broad knowledge beyond my age was my thing and I was proud of it, but still I was a child then.
I remember vividly saying to a friend, “ do you know that I don’t need God , I’m intelligent ,iv got the girls and I have everything I could want at that time{note :-I was not speaking material wise} and my heart was so convinced at that time “I still remember the feeling to date”, but been into homosexuality before making that statement ,it was not until years later while praying in the church and asking God why I seemed to have declined when that very statement I made came to mind, and I remember from that very term I declined terribly don’t misunderstand its like He just took people from behind me to my front and left me standing at that spot , if u want evidence of whose more intelligent in class I was everyone knew it but in report they just seemed more. But I was a child how did he expect me to me wise enough to know then, knowledge and wisdom are two different things )

(it was years later before I became guilty of this verse, I was already into it at the time of discovering Romans 1:21-22, 24, 26-28, I don’t think I was guilty of this, far years later lemma not say what I’ve don’t for the sake of knowledge)

Romans 1:21-22, 24, 26-28:-seems to say the reason why people are homosexuals but most if not all homosexuals would agree it started way before they even knew what it was not to mention how wrong/right it was ,if that verse is stating the reason why GOD assumingly gave them up,whose fault is it?, it wasn’t their choice, I for one was way deep before discovering that verse and it like being an homosexual was/or is the judgment of GOD on people or let’s say me, but judging me befor I even knew why and what I was judged for, ahba . It’s like the verse is saying God rejected some people here on earth before even going to heaven self.

So that verse is saying the sin of not glorifying God is being becoming an homosexual,and not retaining God in your knowledge the reward is a base mind.
