Yours is still fair cause it always requires government which is the main subject for pol.science and any other social science. That means either economics, geography ,commerce, accounting would do.

kulyie: Your result is on the average however if you are interested in political science,your government and English literature result should have been better than that.at least an A or B.the reason i said so is because the people who want to admit you will be particular about those subjects,apart from that your indepth knowledge of government is what will be a stepping stone for you,just like you were taught abc in your nursery school and it is a stepping stone for you to write,is the same way whatever you are taught in government is what you will use and secondly the way you write,i mean your spellings need to be worked on because in political science you will do a lot of research,reading writing,thinking and you cannot subit term papers or articles with bad spellings.No lecturer will take that from you,moreover, Its going to destroy your work.meanwhile you have to be very good with history,read about history of local governments in nigeria and other countries (you will need that when you are in 2oo level taking comparative world politics),history of states in nigeria,history of women in politics (that will be useful when you take gender politics in your 3oo level) because your lecturers will teach you that so it is an advantage for you if you read ahead.also, make cnn,channels,ait,bbc,aljazera your friend.keep up with political events,read news papers and journals, ( that will help you in your 4oo level when you take international politics,international relations,public policy etc)visit libraries and you will come out with better grades when you get into the university.lastly read nairaland politics section to get a critical and well balanced arguement of political events,however it will be your responsibility to differentiate the wheat from the chaff,goodluck!






N.b in 1oo level too,you will take political philosophy so read about plato's philosophy of government,aristotle,karl marx etc.read 'the Prince' by karl marx, thats where you will get his ideas of politics relevant to your work, Element of Politics by Francis Enemuo, thats where the theories of political science are- systems theories,behavioual theory,power etc.read substance of politics,i have forgotten the name of the author,but its a white book of 6oo and something pages thats where all the philosophers of political science are. Then i hope you are a fast and versatile/unbiased reader. During my undergraduate years i was given books of 6oo-8oo pages to read,summarise and make my own inputs/conclusions within 48 hours which means you have 24 hours to read and another 24 hours to comprehend,digest,analyze and draw your findings for presentation.
