Effective immediately, Höegh Autoliners will accept non running passenger vehicles for export from the U.S. ports of: New York, Baltimore, Jacksonville, and Galveston to West Africa. Non running vehicles must be capable of being towed and delivered in the following condition: • Operational brakes • Tires that hold air • Operational steering • Operational ignition freeing the steering column & shift lever • Operational driver’s door • No broken glass inside the vehicle • No human remains • No leaking fluids • No sharp edges exterior / interior • No deployed air bag / airbag if deployed must be removed Vehicles should be booked as a non-runner / towed vehicle and will be assessed a towing fee of USD $200. per vehicle. Upon reading your post above, I contacted my shipping agent. She said it is not true. Would you be kind enough to provide the source of your information. The refusal by Grimaldi and AES to accept non-runners is causing hardship to a lot of people. If Hoegh is accepting them, it will be a welcomed development. |
