REAL OIL MILLS LIMITED (ROM) is a limited liability company incorporated in November, 1994 primarily to engage in the development of the oil industry and production of vegetable oil, palm oil and other associated products in Nigeria.
ROM is a member of the REAL GROUP which has investment spread over various sectors of the economy such as Agriculture, Manufacturing, Shipping, Energy and Banking. REAL OIL MILLS has been involved in oil production especially edible vegetable palm oil since 1995. The company acquired the assets of the former Vegetable Oil of Nigeria (VON) and renamed it Real Oil Mills Limited in April, 1995.
Real Oil Mills (ROM) has a modern 100 tons per day De-smet vegetable oil plant which can refine, bleach and deodorize special palm oil (SPO) and crude palm kernel oil (CPKO) to produce Refined Bleached Deodorized palm Oil (RBDPO) and Refined Bleached Deodorize Palm Kernel Oil (RBDPKO).
Real Oil Mills has a newly developed 60MT/Day unit, currently being used to Degum Soya Bean oil for Grand Cereal and Oil Mills Ltd at Ojota

Due to a severe shortage of raw materials ROM is currently developing a it’s backward integration programme which includes Calabar Oil Palm Estate (3,000 Ha), OBAN Estate (3,500Ha) and Ekong Anaku (10,000 Ha), all in Cross River State, Nigeria
To date Real Oil Mills has invested a substantial amount of funds in backward and forward integration activities in the oil palm and allied products sector. By 2010 total holdings of estates (developed and undeveloped) is expected to be 25,000 ha and by 2020 holdings should be about 50,000 ha

It also has a modern 60 tons per day fractionation plant for the separation of RBDPO into Stearin (pure vegetable fat) and Olein (refined vegetable oil). NAFDAC NUMBER: 01-3256
