Yesterday (October 2nd) is the celebrity birthday of Nollywood star actress, Stephanie Okereke-Linus. She was born in Imo State (Nigeria) in 1982 and is the sixth child out of her parents eight children. Join Nigeria Movie Network in wishing Stephanie a happy birthday!

Stephanie Okereke completed her primary and secondary school in Delta State before heading to the University of Calabar where she graduated with a degree in English and Literary Studies.

Stephanie Okereke ventured into acting during her teenage years back in 1997 when she starred in two Nollywood movies, Compromise 2 and Waterloo. She was also a contestant at the 2002 Most beautiful Girl in Nigeria beauty pageant where she took 2nd place. A year later in 2003, Okereke received two awards at the 2003 Reel Awards for 'Best Actress - English' and 'Best Actress of the year' also in 2003.

To further her career, Stephanie Okereke attended and graduated from the New York Film Academy in 2007, after which she released the Nollywood-Hollywood movie Through the Glass, which she wrote, produced, directed, and acted in. The film did well and received recognition at the African Movie Academy Award nomination for Best Screenplay in 2009. Stephanie Okereke is one Nollywood actress that has over 100 movies to her credit.

Some of her movies are Mystery of Destiny, Lonely Heart, Doctor Bello, Through The Glass, More Than A Woman, The Governor’s Wife, Right Man For Me, Royal Battle, Bad Egg, just to name a few. A warmly happy birthday to her!
