INSIDE THE BOXING RING
FG Vs ASUU
In my experience with the way thing are done in this country, I am not interested in the billions these two agbaya’s are quarrelling over. Based on points for and against on both sides, it crystal clear (like the Barcelona tiki tika) that these two are jokers, wicked and unconcerned if everything goes wrong. So let’s enter the ring as we watch them exchange punches. The truth and nothing but the truth has to be spoken
1st ASUU
The FG is a bunch of visionless individuals (recall we taught them in school) with no idea of how to run a country, talk less of improving it; it’s more about who stays in power after the next election.
In a manner my primary school teacher judges our disputes then ‘it’s what you say first that the white man accepts not what you say next’ that explains what the FG were thinking when they signed the agreement years back. Was the agreement signed before or after the alcohol was served? Am guessing after.
The kids of most of the FG officials’ school outside the country, hence strike doesn’t affect them directly. They are more concerned with looting ( abeggi stealing is a more direct word) of the treasury.
FG claims to raise a little less than half of what ASUU demanded (i didn’t know we had money like that though), but they spend more on irrelevant things that we read about in the news.
FG isn’t concerned with the unbaked graduates (thanks to PHCN) graduates produced in our universities, well well well there isn’t any major technological and World class jobs for them anyway.

FG
ASUU would/may (from previous records) enrich themselves with the huge amount they are demanding for, hence the needs of the educational system remains and not catered for.
ASUU staffs would still go back to selling online printouts, molesting the female students, suspending of activists (real activists o), skipping jobs and all manners of illegal activities. (But some of the lecturers are half baked also).
Reform is a stage by stage process, why not take the amount we are paying as part payment and let’s see what you’ll do with it, then with time we would release more funds to reform our education.
You claim the primary reason you are fighting is for the students, but most of them can’t remember their matric numbers, you should just face it, the students are secondary reasons. All you want is air conditions and personal offices so you can do all your mago mago.
Round 2 over to you.........leggo
