CONFESSIONS OF AN ADULTERESS You said you took off your clothing to cover me Just to conceal my unclothedness I took off my own clothing for all to see And shed my sacredness You said you held me tight around your arms Just to keep me away from adversary I strayed from arms to arms And breached our sanctuary You said you loved me unconditionally Just to ensure our love evolve I amorously let myself loved intentionally And consented our love to dissolve You called me; A 'whorific' adulteress Queen of Infidelity Shameless seductress And a murderer of morality I hereby admit I shed my unclothedness For I felt less appealing And craved to see the lust in the eyes of many I must confess I breached our sanctuary For I felt caged And lacked the feel of the safety in your arms I also agree I consented our love to dissolve For it felt like poison in my bone And I needed some passion to inoculate me *But you must know this* Your delusions of self-importance & perfection Obsession for power and control Failed to make you realise we lost connection The moment you reduced me to nothingness & a mindless keyhole 4 Likes |

You poem is lovely. I liked the narrative technique employed, your diction is excellent. While reading I could help feeling like this was written by a female. Was it? Your metaphor, and you ability to convey you emotions is impressive. Kudos. |
