A paint manufacturing company seeks to employ an Accountant & Internal Auditor.

Major Responsibilities:

Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting and other tax requirements.
Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions.
Analyzes financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital, and prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize current and projected company financial position, using calculator or computer.
May perform other clerical duties associated with accounts payable.
Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice.
Verifies and posts transactions to journals, ledgers and other records.
Establish tables of accounts, and assign entries to proper accounts.
Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology
Review of reconciliation, support documents and requests for payments.
Preparation of staff payroll.
May perform other clerical duties associated with accounts payable.

Educational Qualifications:

Minimum of HND/B.Sc. in Accounting
Professional qualification such as: ACA, ACCA, ICAN, CFA etc. is an added advantage
Minimum of 2 years post-degree working experience
Must have the knowledge of how to use Peachtree Accounting
Ability to multitask on several job requirements, including the willingness to work a flexible schedule.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Ability to efficiently prioritize, plan, coordinate and monitor own work plan
