TOP COMEDY MOVIES 2013 by Nobody: 10:13pm On Oct 25, 2013
Taking a look at the Top Comedy Movies of 2013, they're are most likely to be fails are successes, but with the likes of Seth rogen, Gerald butler, Adam sandler & Steve carell, You are definitely in for a Thrill. With All Reviews and Rating gotten from IMDb and
MOVIE-M.ORON.

and a Little Editing by my humble self
Here's the rundown of the top releases of 2013.

SCARY MOVIE 5
Starring: Ashley Tisdale, Simon Rex, Molly Shannon, Anthony Anderson, Kevin Hart
Director: Malcolm D. Lee
A couple begin to experience some unusual activity after bringing their lost nieces and nephew home. With the help of home-surveillance cameras, they learn they're being stalked by a nefarious demon. Yes, ‘Scary Movie 5′ is mainly a parody of ‘Black Swan’ (doesn’t seem very timely?) and ‘Paranormal Activity’. Previous series leads Anna Faris and Regina Hall are not involved, so they’re calling this a reboot. Lindsay Lohan and Charlie Sheen have small roles.
Ratings [IMDB - 3.4] [Critics: 4%] [Public: 3.6] - Overall rating- 3.5/10

MOVIE 43

Starring: Justin Long, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Chloe Moretz, Richard Gere
Directors: Peter Farrelly, Griffen Dunne, Brett Ratner, James Gunn etc.
A series of interconnected short films follows a washed-up producer as he pitches insane story lines featuring some of the biggest stars in Hollywood. Anthology movies nearly always fail and this one is especially disjointed. Imagine a series of unrelated, unfunny sketches. It doesn’t work on any level. [IMDB - 4.4] [Critics: 4%] [Public: 4.4] Overall rating - 4.4/10

Re: TOP COMEDY MOVIES 2013 by Nobody: 10:17pm On Oct 25, 2013
A HAUNTED HOUSE
Starring: Marlon Wayans, Nick Swardson, Essence Atkins, Cedric the Entertainer
Director: Michael Tiddes.
Malcolm and Kisha move into their dream home, but soon learn a demon also resides there. When Kisha becomes possessed, Malcolm - determined to keep his sex life on track - turns to a priest, a psychic, and a team of ghost-busters for help. R-rated parody of ‘Paranormal Activity’, ‘The Devil Inside’ and other “found footage” movies. Wayans was one of the creators of ‘Scary Movie’ but this looks far worse. The first joke in the trailer is a fart gag and it goes downhill from there. [Critics:10%] [IMDB - 4.8] Overall rating - 4.8/10

GROWN UPS 2
Starring: Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade
Director: Dennis Dugan.
After moving his family back to his hometown to be with his friends and their kids, Lenny finds out that between old bullies, new bullies, schizo bus drivers, drunk cops on skis, and 400 costumed party crashers sometimes crazy follows you. Follow up to the 2010 feature about a group of childhood friends who reunite years later. The original cast return, except (apparently) for Rob Schneider – which has prompted rumours of a falling out with Sandler. Steve Austin joins the cast, as does Andy Samberg playing a cheerleader, and Taylor Lautner as an antagonistic frat boy. [Critics: 6%] [public: 4.7] [IMDB - 5.2] Overall rating - 4.9/10

Re: TOP COMEDY MOVIES 2013 by Nobody: 10:21pm On Oct 25, 2013
ADMISSION
Starring: Tina Fey, Paul Rudd, Michael Sheen, Nat Wolff, Lily Tomlin
Director: Paul Weitz.
A Princeton admissions officer who is up for a major promotion takes a professional risk after she meets a college-bound alternative school kid who just might be the son she gave up years ago in a secret adoption. Tonally it seems to be going for something similar to ‘About A Boy’, which the director also made, but judging by the preview it’s missing that same spark. [Critics: 38%] [Public: 5.5] [IMDB - 5.6] Overall rating - 5.5/10

IDENTITY THIEF
Starring: Jason Bateman, Melissa McCarthy, Amanda Peet, Jon Favreau
Director: Seth Gordon
Mild-mannered businessman Sandy Patterson travels from Denver to Florida to confront the deceptively harmless-looking woman who has been living it up after stealing Sandy's identity. Identity Thief’ is one of two leading comedy roles for Melissa McCarthy this year, after breaking out with ‘Bridesmaids’. [Critics: 20%] [IMDB - 5.6] Overall rating - 5.6/10

Re: TOP COMEDY MOVIES 2013 by Nobody: 10:24pm On Oct 25, 2013
21 & OVER
Starring: Miles Teller, Skylar Astin, Justin Chon, Sarah Wright
Directors: Jon Lucas, Scott Moore
The night before his big medical school interview, a promising student celebrates his 21st birthday with his two best friends. The writers of ‘The Hangover’ make their debut as writer-directors, using a variation on the friends-get-drunk idea, set in college. If you’re looking for a youthful party movie this should be a good time. Just don’t ask why they couldn’t celebrate his birthday after his interview. [Critics: 26%] [IMDB - 5.6] Overall rating - 5.6/10

THE HANGOVER 3

Starring: Zach Galifianakis, Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Justin Bartha
Director: Todd Phillips.
When one of their own is kidnapped by an angry gangster, the Wolf Pack must track down Mr. Chow, who has escaped from prison and is on the run. It’s a sensible move changing the formula at this stage, it was getting tired and this frees up their wild antics. However starting with a funeral and looking to cheer someone up is a bit bleak. Director Todd Phillips returns, but says it’s the last ‘Hangover’ for all of them. The three leads are being paid $15m each for this, they got $300k for the first movie. [Critics: 19%] [IMDB - 5.9] Overall rating - 5.6/10

Re: TOP COMEDY MOVIES 2013 by Nobody: 10:29pm On Oct 25, 2013
THE INCREDIBLE BURT WONDERSTONE
Starring: Steve Carell, Jim Carrey, Steve Buscemi, Olivia Wilde, Alan Arkin
Director: Don Scardino
Old school Las Vegas magician Burt Wonderstone (Carell) attempts to reunite with his former partner Anton Lovecraft (Buscemi) to take on daring street magician Steve Gray (Carrey). From the director of TV’s ’30 Rock’, imagine a comedic version of ‘The Prestige’. It’s not terrible, the second half is quite likeable, but given the talent involved it lacks big laughs and can only be considered a disappointment. [Critics: 36%] [IMDB - 5.9] Overall rating - 5.9/10

THE INTERNSHIP
Starring: Owen Wilson, Vince Vaughn, Rose Byrne, John Goodman
Director: Shawn Levy
Two recently laid-off salesmen in their 40s (Wilson, Vaughn) try to make it as interns at Google where their managers are 20-somethings. It’s a ‘Wedding Crashers’ cast reunion, including a Will Ferrell cameo. The script was written by Vaughn, who previously co-penned ‘Couples Retreat’. The director made the amusing ‘Date Night’. While the leads have good chemistry, it’s also a tired dynamic at this point. The premise isn’t funny, and the whole thing comes off as a PR exercise for Google. [Critics: 36%] [IMDB - 6.5] Overall Rating - 6.5/10

Re: TOP COMEDY MOVIES 2013 by Nobody: 10:37pm On Oct 25, 2013
THE HEAT
Starring: Sandra Bullock, Melissa McCarthy, Kaitlin Olson, Michael Rapaport
Director: Paul Feig
An uptight FBI Special Agent is paired with a foul-mouthed Boston cop to take down a ruthless drug lord. While the movie isn’t a total laugh-riot the leads have good chemistry and it’s a fun watch. Comedy buddy-cop movies have been mostly dire in recent years but have some faith in the director of ‘Bridesmaids’. [Critics: 63%] [Public: 7.1] [IMDB - 6.7] Overall rating - 6.9/10

ALAN PARTRIDGE: ALPHA PAPA
Starring: Steve Coogan, Sean Pertwee, Colm Meaney
Director: Declan Lowney
When famous DJ Alan Partridge’s radio station is taken over by a new media conglomerate, it sets in motion a chain of events which see Alan having to work with the police to defuse a potentially violent siege. Coogan first created the character back in 1991 and it has followed him ever since. The director was responsible for ‘Father Ted’. If you’re British, or like British humour, this is a must watch. [Critics: 84%] [IMDB- 7.8] Overall rating - 7.8/10

Re: TOP COMEDY MOVIES 2013 by Nobody: 10:41pm On Oct 25, 2013
WE'RE THE MILLERS
Starring: Jennifer Aniston, Jason Sudeikis, Ed Helms, Emma Roberts
Director: Rawson Marshall Thurber
Road trip comedy about a drug dealer (Sudeikis) who, in order to pay off a debt to his supplier (Helms), is forced to smuggle a shipment of marijuana from Mexico to the US. He devises a scheme to create a fake family known as the Millers with his neighbours (Aniston, Emma Roberts, Will Poulter) posing as his wife and kids to bring back an RV full of weed. [Critics: 47%] [IMDB - 7.2] overall rating - 7.2/10

[/b]THE WORLDS END[/b]
Starring: Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Martin Freeman, Paddy Considine
Director: Edgar Wright
Five childhood friends (Pegg, Frost, Freeman, Considine and Eddie Marsan) reunite after 20 years to repeat a legendary pub crawl from their youth, returning to their hometown once again to attempt to reach the fabled pub “The World’s End”. Over the course of the night, they gradually realise the real struggle is not just theirs but humankind’s (courtesy of a robotic invasion), and completing the crawl becomes the least of their worries… The third movie in the “Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy”, after ‘Shaun Of The Dead’ and ‘Hot Fuzz’. It’s entertaining but light on laughs for long periods due to a particular emphasis on character drama and having Nick Frost as the straight man. How much you enjoy it will largely depend on what you think of Pegg/Frost/Wright beforehand. [Critics: 89%] [Public: 7.5] [IMDB-7.4] Overall rating - 7.4/10

*******DRUM ROLL PLEASE******

THIS IS THE END
Starring: Seth Rogen, Jay Baruchel, James Franco, Craig Robinson, Jonah Hill
Directors: Evan Goldberg, Seth Rogen
While attending a party at James Franco’s house, Seth Rogen, Rihanna, Emma Watson and other celebrities encounter the apocalypse. Co-written/directed by Seth Rogen (his directorial debut), this began life as a 2007 short, ‘Jay and Seth vs. The Apocalypse’. It has a top drawer comedy cast, a hilarious concept and totally works. Stand-out moments include Michael Cera’s toilet episode, Jonah Hill’s rampage and Paul Rudd stepping on a woman’s head, Also, not forgetting Backstreet boys amazing performance . Its a Must Watch [Critics: 84%] [Public: 7.9] [IMDB-7.1] Overall rating - 7.5/10

The to-do list
Kings of Summer & Escape from planet earth
are also nice comedy movies.
What do you know, the writers of 21 & Over were also the writers of The hangover 1, i suspected both movies had the same plot. I have seen all those movies except alpha papa and i think movie 43 & grown ups 2 deserve a higher rating than some. The internship & This is the end, are my favourites, i could watch this is the end over & over again.
