It feels really good when your post finally makes it to the front page, you feel like you have really won a jackpot. For those that have made it, you know exciately what i am talking about.
However alot of you have been struggling to get your post to the front page. For you, i have got good news, now you can get you post to the front page easily. www.allstudentforum.com has made this so simple for every one, you may wonder how? well on all student forum, we give every one equal opportunity,

It seems you like the idea, as for the manual, i am working on it.

The idea is good but it will make old posts continue to be on front page which will make visitors think you are not updating the site. That method should be within the boards in the site not front page.

Even using such in the board is so yesterday. Not every latest replied topic should get to the top on front page or the board. @op email me i got an idea and an algorithm i will share with you. Of course its not free but i will tell you how it works and probably when you pay i would implement it in your forum, its really an innovative one. Elvis.chidera@gmail.com , just saying.

Thanks for commenting, no old post will not remain on the home page but active post and even at that as fresh post are made the active ones are push down and if the are lucky to be comment/replied on the move up again and continue their journey down again as new post comes in. With this there is greater exposure and equal opportunity for your post to be read without going into the boards.

Hmm you are getting it wrong, it doesn't work like that, as the site get updated, older threads are move down instantly and the freshly updated take it rightful place, and if the older thread is hyper active, then its a plus to who ever stated the thread.

1)you got me wrong. A year old thread will need twice or more activity for it to hit the front page again but in your case any amount of activity will keep it. Ok, let me explain some implications of this. A user created a thread about wizkid song, the thread is about 1 year old and the song is no longer current, one guy finds the year old thread and just for fun types, "just passing", another user picks this up and quoted him "you are stupid oh" another user quotes the second "no mind am" and so on. This thread activity increases a bit and it will hit front page with your system. I hope you get me now ?
2)lol, who will get tired of doing what will give him more traffic ?. Mind you if you are not smart, you might not detect the accounts and the chances are lower with 7 accounts or more and a high iq.

4)lol, its more better at the board. When a thread containing spam hits front page, probably 97% of people on your site will see it and about 40% might check it out, but when its on a board those are very low and a mod can easily delete them without them causing much damage.

ok, i get you. But if you read my post you (already) know am talking only about aging, which if not treated well will damage your front page.

About the aging, there is a warning system to that, that actually warns that a thread is older and also advices you to start a new thread.
