why do Nigerians who are not privileged(rich) tend to be hostile and rude? (Just thinking aloud)

Okay, for starters, there's a difference between being privileged and being rich . Secondly, I know lots of Nigerians who aren't rich (or privileged as you put it) that aren't hostile. I think people become hostile when they become depressed.
Now, people get depressed from a lot of things but in Nigeria, most people become depressed because the economy isn't good to them. Some people feed on less than 150 naira, have two meals that aren't square by day, can hardly afford to pay their kids tutition and owing rent. They constantly worry about today, are apprehensive about tomorrow and torture themselves with the past. It is only logical that these people are volatile and will /spark/ at any provocation.
Don't blame them.

Nice contribution @Illuminatus. I used the word privileged because I didn't want to use poor. I know that some of them are not guilty of this act but majority of them are guilty of it.. Thanks
