So, this guy Shola Ameobi was a Newcastle hero? I've heard the name.
What's he doing now?
What sort of name is Ame-Obi? Are they Yoruba or Edo?
I always thought the name was Amo-ebi. Even that was not easy to translate.

I had no idea the family dominates English sports?

Anyway, what other Futbol sites do is to create a general match-day thread for all the other clubs and matches that aren't "popular" enough to warrant their own thread. That's a tradition we can initiate.

My favourite Geordie ever is also my favourite football commentator. Too bad he's not easy to find on TV. He was great on GOl-TV as the regular La Liga play-by-play guy.

I need to search online for La Liga matches, mehn. Premier League just doesn't have the skills. They're lucky there are so many English language speakers all over the world.

I really thought Arsenal would try and make this interesting by rallying to at least equalise. Oh well. Not easy to beat ManU on home turf.
