10 oz. purified or distilled water (Room temperature)
2 Tablespoons lemon or limejuice (approx. ½ lemon)
2 Tablespoons genuine maple syrup (Not maple flavored sugar syrup - GRADE B ONLY)
1/10 Teaspoon cayenne pepper (red pepper) or to taste
Mix it up in a 10 oz glass jar w/lid, shake it up and drink. (Cold water may be used if preferred.)

HOW MUCH DOES ONE DRINK?

Take from 6 to 12 glasses of the lemonade daily during the waking period. As you get hungry just have another glass of lemonade. NO OTHER FOOD SHOULD BE TAKEN DURING THE FULL PERIOD OF THE DIET. As this is a complete balance of minerals and vitamins, one does not suffer the pangs of hunger. Do not use vitamin pills.
All solid food is turned into a liquid state before the blood can carry it to the cells. The lemonade is already a food in liquid form.
For those who are overweight, less maple syrup may be taken. For those underweight, more maple syrup may be taken. For those who are underweight and worried about losing more weight, REMEMBER, the only things you can possible lose are mucus; waste, and disease. Healthy tissue will not be eliminated. Many people who need to gain weight actually do so near the end of the diet period.
Never vary the amount of lemon juice per glass.

A LAXATIVE HERB TEA
is found to be the best helper for most persons. It is a good practice to take a good laxative herb tea right from the beginning — the last thing at night and first thing in the morning. There are several good laxative teas. They are best taken in a liquid form. Buy them in your health food
store.

ANOTHER CLEANSING AID: INTERNAL SALT WATER BATHING
As it is necessary to bathe the outside of our bodies, so it is with the inside. Do not take enemas or colonics at any time during the cleansing diet or afterwards. They are unnecessary and can be extremely harmful. There is a much superior method of cleansing the colonic tract without the harmful effects of customary colonics and enemas. This method will cleanse the entire digestive tract while the colonic
s and enemas will only reach the colon or a small part of it. Colonics can be expensive while our salt - water method is not.

The salt water has the same specific gravity as the blood, hence the kidneys cannot pick up the water and the blood cannot pick up the salt. This may be taken as often as needed for proper washing of the entire digestive system. If the salt water does not work the first time, try adding a little more or a little less salt until the proper balance is found; or possible take extra water with or without salt. This often increases the activity.

Remember, it can do no harm at any time. The colon needs a good washing, but do it the natural way — the salt water way.
It is advisable to take the herb laxative tea at night to loosen, then the salt water each morning to wash it out. If for some reason the salt water cannot be taken in the morning, then the herb laxative tea must be taken night and morning.

SCHEDULE:

A night before, drink one teabag of laxative tea.
First thing in the morning before you shower, take 4 cups (32oz) of the salt water flush. This must be taken on an empty stomach. The
salt and water will not separate but will stay intact and quickly and thoroughly wash the entire tract in about one hour.

Wait 30mins and the movement begins ... grin
......... you'll visit the toilet a few times .......... grin
Drink the lemonade mix as you like during the day. About six glasses of lemonade a day is enough for those wishing to reduce. Extra water may be taken as desired.
Repeat for at least 10 days.

I can't go for 24 hours without food. grin I started the master cleanse yesterday and gave up at 8pm. I had an apple.

I'm struggling with this cleanse. Lately, my skin has been breaking out and it seems like my metabolism has become way too sluggish. I work out, but i'm slowly gaining weight. Its a good way to cleanse your colon and start all over.

Wanted to do the cleanse last month but could not get maple syrup, so I gave up on everything. I take ACV mixed with water everyday tho.

No, I haven't. I've heard of different cleanses (I've done the strictly water cleanse), but not this one. I've just read a bit about the benefits online; I'm going to give it a try! 10 days, wow. cry cry cry

I ate again tonight! Haha ... wahala dey! grin Will I ever lose this 12kg? I was stressed about something and angrily grabbed a bag of potato chips (just 90 calories), but the master cleanse says NO FOOD AT ALL!

@ Mownie: What does the ACV do for you? Is it apple cider vinegar? In the past, I used it on my face as a toner.
@ Yield: This one is better than water cleanses because the lemons provide vitamins and minerals during the fast.

10 days on lemonade only? That's invitation to ulcer oh...
Am currently on day 2 of the GENERAL MOTORS detox diet, those who have completed it swear by it and for me although am a bit weak, I can already see results, they claim the diet gives you a healthy cleanse (without starving) and you loose between 5 to 11 kg of weight. I have lost 1kg already... my aim isn't to loose weight, I have been having issues with bowel movements and already like I said earlier, am seeing results.

i tried doing cleanse (not master cleanse) too it lasted for 3 days, on the third day i was so hungry and cranky, it wasnt funny at all, and i wanted doing it for 7 days.

i would advice if you havent done any type of cleanse do not try the master cleanse, it would be too hard on the body.

Lolz. I'm not sure about ulcer. This is my first time hearing about the GM diet. I googled it and it seems way easier than the master cleanse. 10 days on lemonade and maple syrup is intense, but you'll lose at least 10kg. My metabolism needs a rude awakening!

For real. I quit the first 2 days, but picked right up yesterday. Let's see how long it lasts.

+1.

I thought about trying this, but then decided against it. It's best to consult a healthcare provider before doing something like this, especially for 10 days! I know better than to rely on online reviews alone. Bodies respond to things differently. Plus, I don't play with my stomach! I stay away from junk food to begin with and I'm not trying to lose weight either, but I am going to be seeing a Naturopath next week (to do a full-body nutrient checklist ...I've never done this before and I've been meaning to for the longest time now) and ask some other questions. But nope, not going to do this, especially without getting some advice from a professional first.

Yeah...the master cleanse is really intense, I just don't see myself going there yet
But not to discourage you eyekandy...cos you need all the motivation you can get, am sure with enough determination you will reach your goal.

I think it's invitation to ulcer, lemon is acidic, acidic content +empty stomach can lead to ulcer, I can't even try it.

Eye kandy not to discourage you, but have you tried Normal cleanse or juicing?

Nice discussion. It's good that we put our health over crazy cleanses out there!

@ Sissie: There is a claim that the master cleanse cures stomach ulcer with cayenne pepper. I don't know how true that is.

I've been doing a modified cleanse with less lemon. I juice for dinner (blend kale, lettuce and grapefruit) and drink. Hope it balances out the acidity of the lemon in my system.

I know cayenne pepper is good for ulcer, but still skeptical, I would have to consult my doctor and do some research to try something like that.

But if you've modified it, and you juice that's a start, all the best.
