Cristiano Ronaldo could yet triumph in this year’s Ballon D’or vote after an exceptional hat-trick on tuesday night – and an extension of the voting process.
FIFA have been forced to push back the deadline because of low turnout by coaches, captains and media voters – giving the Portuguese a huge chance of success.
No Englishman features on this year’s Ballon d’Or shortlist - but there’s plenty of Premier League interest.
