Recently kogi state university dismissed an associate professor and terminated the appointment of two other lectures for various offences in sociology dept. Their names are:
1. DR. TINUOLA RUFUS
2. MISS M. OGBUKA
3. DR OTEH OKPO
They have since been served their letters of dismissal and termination of appointments. Below are the letters issued to them by the governing council of the school.
DR. TINUOLA RUFUS
Following the communications requesting you to submit thirteen missing scripts and to respond to charges dated 5th march, 2013 and 2nd april, 2013, you may recall that you had appeared before the following committees: departmental committee, faculty of social sciences examination malpractice committee management committee which investigated the allegation of examination misconduct in industrial sociology (soc 405)in the first semester examination of 2011/2012 academic session under your headship.
Consequently, the governing council has been given directives to convey approval of your termination of appointment with kogi state university Anyigba with effect from Friday, october25th, 2013, for falsification of examination records, dishonesty and aiding and abetting examination malpractice.
You are to note that as a dismissed member of staff, you are not entitled to any terminal benefits. That notwithstanding, should you be indebted to the university or any constituted authority, you are advised to make private arrangement to pay off the debt standing against you before your departure.
You are requested to handover all university property in your possession to your head of your department and your identity card to the chief security officer before you leave

MISS M. OGBUKA AND DR OTEH OKPO
You may recall that there was an allegation of examination misconduct in industrial sociology (soc 405)in the first semester examination of 2011/2012 academic session which was investigated by the following committees: departmental committee, faculty of social sciences examination malpractice committee management committee, in observance of the principle of natural justice.
Consequently, the governing council has been given directives to convey approval of your termination of appointment with kogi state university Anyigba with effect from Friday, october25th, 2013, for falsification of examination records, dishonesty and aiding and abetting examination malpractice.
The bursar is by a copy of this letter, requested to compute and pay your entitlements (if any).
You are requested to handover all university property in your possession to your head of your department and your identity card to the chief security officer before you leave
