In case you don't know, the ongoing strike has caused the parents/guardian of undergraduate students a minimum of N10,000,000,000 in loss besides other losses incurred by business men and women around the universities.
Let's do a simple arithmetic: assuming the total number of students in public universities is 1,000,000 and each pays a minimum of N2,000 for house rent per month multiply by 5 wasted months by FG/ASUU. This gives us a whooping sum of N10billion.
With this, I believe ASUU has no moral right to ask for their salaries when they have made students and parents to incur great loss! In fact some students stay in self-contained and pay about N250,000 per year. If ASUU wants FG to pay them for the job they didn't do, won't the students also demand for house rent palliatives?
