boay: ^ Thanks brother.

One of the striking books that have read about leadership is '21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership' by John C Maxwell. The book intrigued me into the subject of leadership and served as eye-opener to myriad of simple but hidden and neglected virtues. I recommend the book for as many who are yet to study it.

boay: It seems the subject of this thread is not common amidst Nigerians. Probably this accounts for why people are muted.

boay: Happy new week Leaders.

Poor leadership is one of the cankerworm 'eating' this blessed nation, thereby putting the populace in excruciating poverty. I discovered that followers are directly or indirecly leaders, while leaders are also followers. I concluded that all Nigerians should be students of leadership to aid the entrance of the 'good Nigeria' we all hope for

boay: 'Everything rises and falls on leadership'. The quality of your life is a function of your leadership ability. Even if you are not occupying a position (leadership is not necessarily in position) you are a leader atleast you are leading your life. So assume full responsibility for your life. To increase the value!quality of your life, you myst increase your leadership ability.

This will enable you to achieve more with less (efficiency), it will also help you to achieve your goal within a short time. It will cut down time and energy. You will see opportunity when others are seeing problems.

Do you want to live a fulfilled and effective life? Then you need 'LEADERSHIP'

boay: Leadership is not what you do, it is not where you are, it is not the position you occupy, it is neither your status nor your possession.

Leadership is in you! It is who you are. That is why you can't afford to take leadership with levity

One of the major determinant (if not the only determinant) of having 2 persons with the same 'paper qualification' but different ability, skill and capacity is leadership

Leadership accounts for while some command attention (because they deserve attention) while others beg for it, it accounts for while some with good grade are not making it (they are toiling) while their colleagues with meagre grades are excelling, it also accounts for while some suceeded where others stumbled.

It accounts for while some embraced something (because they saw it as a great opportunity) while other run away because they saw the same thing as an insurmountable problem....
