The Nigerian government that once praised the social media has now turned its back on it.
A minister once went around saying that president Goodluck Jonathan’s administration brought Facebook and other social media into Nigeria (Laugh Out Loud).
He is also known to be a great fan of the social media platform.
Due to the fact that the social media has made it easy to expose the ills of the government and ensure that it is spread very fast, the government has seek for a way to control that by making it a crime to talk against them on the different social media platforms.

Crazy,meaningless and irrelevant laws are made in Jonathan's regime only. The truth is surely bitter. No more freedom of speech. Why not make law against corruption too? Ole!

Gej has seen the power of social media from past protests. Something tells me he is doing this ahead of a big bomb shell he is about to drop or maybe for 2015

Am not sure he will want to drop any shell, cos of the elections coming up.
He will want to play safe. My opinion.
