The feast of immaculate conception is celebrated on the 8th of December every year. This years feast fell on a sunday and it has to be shifted to monday. Imnaculate conception is a dogma of the holy catholic church that hold that Mary was born free of original sin and dhe died sinless. This was a gift bestowed to her by God.

dogma states "that the
most Blessed Virgin Mary,
in the first instance of her
conception, by a singular
grace and privilege granted
by Almighty God, in view of
the merits of Jesus Christ,
the Saviour of the human
race, was preserved free
from all stain of original sin.
