there has been alot of talk about dementia and alzheimers in the uk this week

i know the symptoms as i have seen it manifest, but i want us to enlighten ourselves about it.

am hoping doctors in the house will educate us on these medical condition..

Most common amongst elderly.
Causes are varied.
Most common type of dementia is Alzheimer's.
No cure for most dementias, but treatable.
Drugs slow progress of illness.
Ideally requires various clinicians working together to help the sufferer.
